Tail Force Delayed Indefinitely for Project Design Reboot

It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing that Tail Force has incurred an indefinite delay due to factors from which I am unable to completely recover using the current code base. On 2 August 2026, a system configuration repair was initiated due to loss of cloud synchronization independent of the project’s git repository, and while there was an intact version of the game on my remote work machine, configuration of the repair branch in the code base failed to behave as intended, resulting in the potential loss of all functionality and integrity of the project. As you can probably guess, this means that it may become necessary to completely reboot the project from the very beginning in order to recover from the data loss. However, I am attempting one final recovery procedure with uncertain results; failing that, I will unfortunately have no choice but to reallocate, reprogram and redesign all aspects of the level and character designs on the assumption that all of the existing work has been corrupted beyond repair.

I apologize for the inconvenience that this incident has caused and promise to do better in the future with redundancies and provisions that will prevent this kind of incident from ever happening again. In the meantime, it is necessary to determine what if anything can be salvaged to minimize the impact that this unfortunate incident has caused while I work out my next steps. Please stay tuned to this space for future updates on the recovery process.
